There is news at the Zwölferkogel in Hinterglemm: The Z-Line has been redesigned. During a construction period of just under three months, new jumps, bridges, flowing curves and a wooden snail that is integrated into the trail have been added.
The biggest change concerns the upper part of the trail. Where riders previously reached the lower part of the Z-Line via a forest road, a line directly through the woods now provides action. This line is characterised by flowing curves, a rather flat route and a wooden snail, which is the highlight of the reconstruction. Another special feature is that the upper section was only shaped by hand. The character of the track remains very natural here because the roots on site were not removed.
There are also new features in the lower part of the line. The centrepiece here are three big jumps, which are perfectly embedded in the flow of the line. What will please all Z-Line fans: the line is now almost twice as long!
"In my opinion, the Z-Line has been greatly revalued by the rebuild. The line has a good flow from top to bottom and is overall very nice to ride. For me, the biggest achievement is that you no longer have to ride the forest road at the top to get to the lower part of the line, but now have a flowy line through the forest.", says Bernhard Dietz, Shaper at Shape Syndicate.
The start of the Z-Line is directly at the middle station of the 12er KOGEL cable car and is suitable for ambitious freeriders with a medium level of difficulty.Further information about mountain biking in Saalbach can be found at saalbach.com/bike
