Welcome to the "Home of Lässig"

"What distinguishes Saalbach Hinterglemm from other regions?” The answer is quite simple: we do not offer classic holidays. We work towards creating a cool experience on the mountains that will prove to be an everlasting memory for our guests.
Saalbach Hinterglemm, located in SalzburgerLand and at an elevation of 1,003 metres above sea level, presents itself in a multitude of ways. The most “lässig” of Austria’s mountain villages is no longer exclusively known as a top skiing destination, but is also treasured by outdoor enthusiasts as an Eldorado for mountain biking and hiking.

With 270 kilometres of piste and 70 state-of-the-art lifts, the region is one of the top ski areas in the Alps. What is special, however, is the variety both on and off the slopes. During the day you can make your turns on the wintery mountains or look for untouched freeride slopes in the backcountry. On the piste, there is something for everyone: snow parks for all levels of ability, fun slopes and snow trails can be found throughout the entire area. Those who are new to the sport will be skilfully introduced to the art of skiing by an instructor from one of the numerous ski schools, so that within just a few days you too will be able to view the expanse of the valley from above.

Non-skiers can enjoy a day on snowshoes, explore the numerous winter hiking trails or walk along the Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps. Romantics can take a horse-drawn sleigh ride at the end of the Glemmtal wrapped in warm blankets and enjoy the idyllic panorama from the viewing platform of the Treetop Path. Those searching for a little more action will fly high above the valley with a paraglider. Toboggan fans will find a true tobogganing paradise in the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn which can be enjoyed until late at night.

In summer, Saalbach Hinterglemm, the neighbouring Epic Bikepark Leogang and Fieberbrunn offer a superlative mountain bike Eldorado. More than 90 Kilometers of Lines & Trails as well as nine lifts are included in a single combined Bike Ticket. Additionally, thanks to Fieberbrunn, the new (e-)mountainbike network now spans across two states (Salzburg and Tirol). The only boundary remaining is your own fitness.

Take it down a notch and offer the kids a little fun and variety along the countless adventure hiking trails around Montelino and Kodok. Active families can explore the surrounding nature via the Educational Hiking Trail, the Motor Skills Path, the Schattberg mountain middle summit, the Treetop Trail and the Fairytale Forest. Together, these paths make up the Kids’ Hiking Challenge, for which the little ones will be rewarded with the Golden Clown. Both casual hikers and more experienced alpinists, on the other hand, will feel right at home on the 400 km of marked hiking trails. Plenty of special challenges, such as the Seven Summits, the Home of Lässig Walk and the Pinzgau Walk, are also available.

The icing on the cake: typical Austrian Alpine cuisine. Because being pampered and spoilt is as part of a well-deserved holiday as a holiday snapshot in the photo album.

A holiday in Saalbach Hinterglemm – the “Home of Lässig*”: Memories that will last forever.

* ”Lässig”: Cool, and laid back. Or “lässig” as the Austrians say.
