Masters of Dirt Warm-Up Show Wows the Crowd
It's showtime! Since four years the Masters of Dirt crew is part of the GlemmRide Bike Festival—this time with their biggest athlete line-up yet. Among the world-class riders are the sibling duos Ruso and Godziek, while rising stars include 15-year-old Mia Salchenegger and seven-year-old Harley Beckett, who is already touring with the Masters of Dirt team.
From their impressive 10-metre-high roll-in tower, the 14 riders delivered breathtaking tricks during Thursday's warm-up session. Triple backflips, no-handed tricks and perfectly synchronized team jumps thrilled the audience, while music and live commentary created an electric festival atmosphere. Following the show, fans had the opportunity to meet the riders up close.
The official Masters of Dirt Big Air Shows take place on Friday at 6:00 pm and Saturday at 7:00 pm in the M.O.D District on Dorfstraße in Hinterglemm.
Large Expo, Pump Track and Ride-Outs for Every Skill Level
More than 50 exhibitors are presenting the latest bikes, components and innovations from the cycling industry in the festival expo located in the centre of Hinterglemm. Throughout the weekend, visitors can enjoy product testing, challenges and competitions while connecting directly with brands and their professional riders.
Bike-star Fabio Wibmer is also attending GlemmRide this year. Fans can meet him during autograph sessions on both Friday and Saturday in the Expo Area. Local Saalbach rider Stevie Schneider joined festival guests on the trails already on opening day. "My group included riders of all ages and skill levels, and everyone had an amazing time. I can only recommend joining the programme over the next few days—there really is something for everyone," says Schneider. On Saturday, he will once again host his popular ride-out "Stevie Rides with Your Mum", inviting women and mothers of downhill beginners to enjoy a relaxed group ride together.
Whether taking first turns on a bike, practising technical skills or simply enjoying fast laps, children, teenagers and adults can improve their riding every day from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm on the pump track next to the Main Stage. At the Schattberg West valley station, visitors can also watch the qualifying rounds and the final of the Downhill Race with the Rookies Cup live on Saturday and Sunday.
Free Live Concerts Complete the Festival Atmosphere
The Main Stage also delivers plenty of musical entertainment throughout the weekend. DJs provide the soundtrack during the day, while live bands take over on Friday and Saturday evening with free admission for all visitors.
Friday's headline act is The Subways at 9:00 pm, followed by Igel VS. Shark on Saturday at 9:30 pm.
