Release from 23.05.2025
Starting next winter season, the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn and Zell am See-Kaprun will become part of the Epic Pass – the international season ski pass offered by the U.S.-based company Vail Resorts. Through this collaboration, the premium ski resorts in Salzburg and Tyrol aim to attract more guests from overseas.
With the recently signed cooperation agreements, the ALPIN CARD region – now the second Austrian ski destination – has joined the exclusive circle of Epic Pass partners. The international season pass provides access to over 80 ski resorts worldwide – from North America and Japan to Australia. Beginning with the 2025/26 winter season, Epic Pass holders will have five ski days included in the ALPIN CARD network. Conversely, holders of ALPIN CARD season and annual passes will receive a 50% discount on the respective lift ticket prices at 37 North American ski resorts.
“With the Epic Pass, we’re opening the door to a global ski community – this fills us with pride and anticipation. Together with our ALPIN CARD partners, we’ve chosen this forward-looking step as a strong signal of our region’s international appeal – this is a big moment for us,” said Isabella Dschulnigg-Geissler (CEO of Saalbacher Bergbahnen GmbH) regarding the partnership.
"Breathtaking Alpine Scenery" as a Key Factor
The Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn is one of Austria’s largest interconnected ski areas, offering 270 kilometers of slopes across all difficulty levels. Sixty cozy mountain huts highlight alpine lifestyle and Austrian cuisine. At the Kitzsteinhorn, Epic Pass holders can enjoy glacier skiing at over 3,000 meters above sea level – allowing for an extra-long ski season.
“Visiting Saalbach for the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships 2025 was an unforgettable experience, from the thrilling energy to the breathtaking mountain scenery. With their world-class terrain and vibrant mountain culture, Saalbach and Zell am See-Kaprun offer unparalleled experiences that perfectly complement the Epic Pass’s exceptional ski and freeride offerings,” said Mike Goar (COO of Vail Resorts – Switzerland).
In addition to the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn and Zell am See-Kaprun, the Epic Pass also provides access to many other ski areas, including Crans-Montana, Andermatt, Verbier, and Ski Arlberg in Europe, Perisher, Hotham, and Falls Creek in Australia, as well as the legendary mountain resorts of Whistler, Vail, Breckenridge, Park City, and Stowe in North America.
