Saalbach Hinterglemm starts into the 2026 summer season with new variety and experiences:

New attractions at Hochalm
The Hochalm area is being transformed into a new experience mountain where play, knowledge, and movement take the center stage. Highlights include new attractions for children such as Kodok’s World of Technology, an interactive educational trail, as well as additional offerings like guided hikes, yoga sessions, and outdoor fitness activities.

Three new bike trails & a glimpse into the future
At the same time, the biking offer in the Glemmtal valley continues to expand: at the Schattberg, the new red Bearly Legal-Line features natural obstacles, playful elements, and flowing sections for pure adrenaline, while additional connections to the existing X-Line and Fairy-Line create even more combination possibilities. In addition, the ScheeLeitn-Line and the natural Wildenkaramba-Line will already open in 2026, offering an exciting preview of the future bike offer in the Schönleiten area, which will be fully opened in 2027.

Learn to Ride for kids & beginners
The Learn to Ride Park at the base of the Kohlmaisbahn in Saalbach offers ideal terrain for beginners with four “mini lines,” a magic carpet lift, an uphill trail for easy access, and a practice loop with small obstacles - free of charge to use for everybody. At the 12er Learn to Ride Area at the middle station of the 12er KOGEL lift in Hinterglemm, beginners can also practice on flat terrain, easy tracks, and a training course. In summer 2026, Saalbach Hinterglemm will also have three pump tracks: at the 12er KOGEL mid station, at the Schönleiten valley station, and at the Westgipfel mountain station – which, at an altitude of 2,096 m, is even the highest pump track in Austria.

Top 3 summer sport events in Saalbach Hinterglemm
From July 9–12, 2026, the legendary GlemmRide Bike Festival will take place for the 10th time, once again bringing international mountain bike stars, Masters of Dirt shows, over 50 exhibitors, DJs, and live acts to the region. On August 15–16, 2026, the Saalbach Trail & Skyrace follows with seven trail running competitions ranging from 3.3 km to 47 km and up to 3,500 vertical meters, including the new “12 Summits Speed” distance. The season concludes with the World Games of Mountainbiking from September 11–13, 2026, where over 1,000 participants from more than 20 nations compete in five race formats between 21 and 80 km, including e-bike and junior categories. The event summer offers not only sporting challenges for participants but also a diverse supporting program for visitors.
