Ski World Cup Saalbach: Downhill cancelled!

Short text 627 CharactersPlain text

Beautiful weather for weeks on end was interrupted on the first day of the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup in Saalbach Hinterglemm. After only nine runners and despite the night-time efforts of the piste crew, the race had to be cancelled due to snowfall and fog. "In terms of fairness, it was definitely the right decision to cancel the race," Vincent Kriechmayer said in an interview with ORF.

There will be a Downhill race on the 6th of March at 11:00 and the Super G on Sunday, the 7th of March at 10:30 live on ORF 1, ZDF, SRF, Eurosport 1, TV 2, SLO 2, SVTPLAY and RAI SPORT+.
