With 120 km bike lines & trails, 400 km hiking trails and 40 mountain huts, Saalbach Hinterglemm is one of the most versatile summer destinations in the Alps. The Kohlmaisbahn lift and the 12er KOGEL lift already started operating on May 22, 2026, the lifts on Schattberg and the new attractions at the Hochalm area will open on June 4, 2026.
The start of the lift operations also marks the beginning of this year’s summer events season: Saalbach Hinterglemm will once again bring people together through sports and cultural events. Summer 2026 features a wide range of exciting events designed to create emotions, community spirit and unforgettable memories.

Biker Mania RELOADED
June 4–7, 2026
The Biker Mania RELOADED from June 4 to 7, 2026, sets new standards while staying true to its long-standing values. For motorcycle enthusiasts, this event has long become a cherished tradition and one of the first major community highlights of the motorcycle summer season. A rock-inspired supporting program with live music and a sociable atmosphere also makes the event a special experience for visitors without their own motorcycle. During the event weekend, all six mountain lifts will already be in operation and can be used free of charge with the JOKER CARD (included at partner accommodations). This creates the perfect opportunity to combine a passion for motorcycles with a love for the mountains.
Traditional Mountain Mass at Zwölferkogel
June 6, 2026
On Saturday, June 6, 2026, Hinterglemmer Bergbahnen GmbH invite guests to the traditional mountain mass at Zwölferkogel. Together with Pastor Rudi Weberndorfer, a special church service will be celebrated at the summit cross as a sign of gratitude for the successful 2025/26 winter season and as a festive start to the 2026 summer season. The musical accompaniment will be provided by a quartet of the TMK Saalbach Hinterglemm, adding a ceremonial atmosphere to the service. Afterwards, a traditional gathering (“Frühschoppen”) at the Winkler Alm featuring WüdaraMusi invites guests to enjoy the beginning of the new season amidst the impressive mountain scenery.
Mountainbike Congress
June 9–11, 2026
For these three days, the mountain bike community takes the center stage in Saalbach Hinterglemm. Under the main theme “Impact”, the 2026 Mountainbike Congress focuses on the sustainable developments and changes the scene has initiated in recent years. Inspiring keynotes, intensive discussions and hands-on workshops provide exciting insights in the future of mountain biking. More information: mountainbike-kongress.at
UCI Enduro World Cup
June 12-14, 2026
For the third time, the trails in Saalbach Hinterglemm will be part of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Leogang. Two of the six spectacular enduro stages will take place in Saalbach Hinterglemm. Training sessions will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, while the final race day takes place on Sunday, June 14, 2026. Riders will battle for every second across several challenging stages, with the fastest combined overall time deciding the winner. Spectators can experience the skills and excitement of the world’s best athletes up close on the trails of Saalbach Hinterglemm.
Hinterglemmer Gasslfest
June 12, 19 & 26, 2026
The popular Hinterglemm Gasslfest returns in June and will once again create memorable evenings in the village center every week until mid-September. The village street of Hinterglemm transforms into a charming street market featuring regional products, culinary specialties, and live music throughout the entire area. Local exhibitors present unique handcrafted goods and delicacies, while children can enjoy a bouncy castle and creative workshops. Entry is free of charge on all event days. Let’s celebrate summer and life together!
Bearly Legal-Line Opening
June 20, 2026
Starting with the summer opening of the Schattberg lifts on June 4, the new red-rated Bearly Legal Line will be open for riding. The official opening event will then take place on Saturday, June 20, 2026. The day kicks off at 10:00 a.m. at the entrance to the new trail below the mid-station of the Schattberg X-press, including an exclusive ride-out with the GlemmRiders. From 11:00 a.m., the supporting program begins at the valley station of the A1 Schattberg X-press, featuring a food truck, DJ sounds, and a pump track. A special highlight will be the live broadcast of the UCI Downhill World Cup from Lenzerheide, including a TV studio directly at the event area. Markus Pekoll, Steve Schneider, and Guido Heuber will host the event on-site, once again creating an authentic World Cup atmosphere right in the heart of Saalbach Hinterglemm.
Midsummer celebration on Westgipfel

With the traditional midsummer bonfire at the Westgipfel on June 20, 2026, we welcome the summer in a truly special way. To celebrate the summer solstice, numerous mountain bonfires illuminate the surrounding peaks and create a unique atmosphere. From the Westgipfel in Hinterglemm at 2,096 meters above sea level, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the glowing sea of lights. For this special experience, the mountain lift will offer extended operating hours from 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
2026 will be a summer full of action
And that’s not all: June also marks the return of the guided hiking tours, where visitors can explore the impressive mountain world of the Glemmtal together with experienced hiking guides and gain fascinating insights into nature. From relaxed panoramic trails to more challenging summit hikes, there is something for everyone. A special highlight in summer 2026 is the BergGlitzern program – hiking experiences designed especially for women, focusing on movement, enjoying nature, and slowing down.
Another major event follows already in mid-July with the 10th edition of the GlemmRide Bike Festival. In addition to the large expo area, visitors can once again look forward to spectacular big air shows, exciting downhill races, and a diverse supporting program.
