Release from 12.07.2026
From 9. -12. July 2026, the GlemmRide Bike Festival in Saalbach Hinterglemm in the Salzburger Land celebrated its 10th anniversary in beautiful summer weather with a diverse programme and a new attendance record of nearly 10,000 visitors.
More than 50 exhibitors in the Expo Area, numerous international athletes, and more group ride outs and workshops than ever before made the anniversary edition a complete success for both organisers and visitors. Highlights included the spectacular Masters of Dirt Big Air Shows, signing sessions with bike idols such as Fabio Wibmer, live concerts on the main stage, and the Rookies Downhill Cup final on Sunday. The next GlemmRide Bike Festival in Saalbach Hinterglemm in the Salzburger Land will take place from 8. -11. July 2027.
A stage for professionals and brands, an experience for families
More than 50 exhibitors were represented in the Expo Area in the centre of Hinterglemm. Among them were several new brands as well as established outdoor brands that have recognised the potential of the growing bike scene and participated for the first time in 2026.
With its successful festival concept, combining an expo, sporting events and live concerts, Saalbach Hinterglemm has been showcasing the diversity of the bike scene for the past 10 years. Over the years, the festival has succeeded in inspiring more and more people to take up mountain biking while continuously expanding the festival community. In 2026, alongside the Ride with the Pros programme for advanced riders, there was also a diverse programme for families featuring dedicated Ride Outs and pump track sessions for children.
Spectacular Masters of Dirt stunts thrilled the crowd
One of the festival highlights that excites visitors across generations is the Masters of Dirt Big Air Show. The international crew featuring top athletes from the dirt bike scene returned to the GlemmRide Bike Festival in Salzburger Land for the fourth time in 2026. Following the promising Warm Up on Thursday, the total of 14 riders once again delivered a breathtaking show on Friday and Saturday evening: with jumps of up to 9 metres, incredible tricks and synchronised jumps accompanied by pyrotechnics and DJ beats, the Masters of Dirt had the crowd roaring.
Downhill race on Schattberg West
One member of the Masters of Dirt crew achieved double success at GlemmRide: 16-year-old Harry Schofield set a new course record of 02:21.100 in the Downhill Final on Sunday on the new race track at Schattberg West. Around 300 riders in age categories ranging from U11 to the Elite category competed in the downhill race and the Rookies Cup presented by iXS. Numerous enthusiastic spectators lined the course, including at the Gerstreit reservoir and in the finish area at the valley station of the Westgipfel lift, following the spectacular runs and creating an exciting atmosphere. The 10th GlemmRide Bike Festival 2026 was therefore a complete success, with the next edition taking place from July 8 to 11, 2027.
QUOTES
"We love to see how mountain biking is inspiring more and more people. With the GlemmRide Expo, we have created a place that brings together people, brands and the biggest stars of the scene. The sporting highlight for us as organisers was the Downhill Race with the Rookies Cup over the weekend, which took place at Schattberg West for the first time," says Wolfgang Breitfuß, Managing Director of Saalbach Hinterglemm.
"There are events that simply feel like home – and the GlemmRide Festival is definitely one of them. Being part of this unique atmosphere for the fourth time means an incredible amount to us. Every time the Big Air Show begins, the riders perform their tricks and the crowd celebrates every jump, I get goosebumps all over again. This passion, this energy and these emotions are exactly what Masters of Dirt is all about. We love being here and look forward every year to creating unforgettable moments together with the fans," says Georg Fechter, Founder and CEO of Masters of Dirt.
"Whether on the trails during the Ride Outs or in the village centre at the live concerts in the evening, it is clear that Saalbach Hinterglemm has established itself over the years as a top bike destination, and the GlemmRide Bike Festival is a celebration of exactly that. Following a successful 10th anniversary, we are already looking forward to the next edition from July 8–11, 2027, and are excited to see how the bike scene continues to evolve," concludes Marlene Krug, Co-organiser and Head of Bike Marketing Saalbach Hinterglemm.
